Diese kleine Drehleier bietet die einfachste Art einen Raum mit Klang zu füllen und ein Lied zu begleiten. Die Bordune sind im Quintabstand eingestimmt. Die Melodiesaiten habe ich in der Septime über dem höheren Bordun. Von der Stimmung entspricht das Instrument der dritten Fiedel-Stimmung von Jerome de Moravia und die Symphonie kann genau wie eine Fiedel eingesetzt werden.

Die Symphonie ist in meinen mittelalterlichen Programmen immer dabei. Harfe oder Fiedel spielen ist sehr aktiv und der gleichmäßige Klang der Symphonie hilft, die Emotionen wieder etwas zu beruhigen.
